President's Message

Dear Neighbors and Friends:

My name is Nicholas Goffeney. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself as the new President of the Tuscany-Canterbury Neighborhood Association. Since May 20, 2008, on the evening of the Spring General Meeting at the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, I took over from A.J. O'Brien as scheduled in the TCNA By-Laws. At that time A.J. moved to the officer position of 'Past-President'. I have learned a great deal from A.J., as well as many other members of the neighborhood during my prior two years on the Board, and I hope that can live up to the high standard of leadership as President that he set this past year. We have already held our first Board meeting, on June 3rd, beginning the work of moving forward on many issues in the neighborhood, from the next newsletter to abandoned Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house. Look forward to an update on this last issue, the property at 3906 Canterbury, in the coming days.

As you may see below, I am planning to continue A.J.'s tradition of sending out periodic bulletins. I'll start it off with a few items of recent and current interest to the neighborhood. Please note that the TCNA "First Friday" is planned for this evening at the Spice Company in the Colonnade at 5:30 pm. I hope to see you there.

If you have an item you would like me to add to the next bulletin, or if anything else regarding the neighborhood is on your mind, please contact me using the information below and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

all the best,

Nicholas Goffeney
