Details: Come to Baltimore's Inner Harbor on Saturday, July 4, 2009 for the Cricket Fourth of July Celebration presented by Mayor Sheila Dixon and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts. This year's Fireworks Spectacular will be produced by Zambelli Internationale beginning at 9:30 p.m. The fireworks can be viewed from several locations in downtown and beyond, notably Federal Hill, Fells Point, Canton and Rash Field. Come early and enjoy the festivities! Beginning at 4:30 p.m. there will be food, fun and entertainment for the entire family.

The Baltimore Inner Harbor is known to attract millions of visitors each year so planning your visit is a great idea. Visit the City's website to view traffic cameras "live" as you prepare your travel route. We encourage participants to use public transportation such as MTA buses, Metro Subway or the Light Rail Systems. Or ride your bike down and take advantage of the many bike racks installed around the inner harbor.

If you plan to drive we encourage you to park at one of the many Park and Ride locations and take transit into downtown. Don't be afraid to carpool. Leave early to allow extra travel time and park on paid parking lots. Remember to pay strict attention to metered parking and parking restrictions. Violators could be ticketed and towed. Obey the instructions of the Baltimore City Police and Special Traffic Enforcement Officers (STEO's). If you plan on drinking please don't drive. Make sure that you have a designated driver and enjoy the holiday.
